Voice Data Policy

MUZIUM organizes voice actor information from publicly accessible sources and publishes it for informational purposes. This policy explains how that public-source data is collected, organized, published, corrected, and removed.

Effective date: June 21, 2026

1. Scope

This policy applies to public-source data on Korean and Japanese voice actor profiles, voice actor lists, associations, generations, agencies, categories, work-level casts, appearances, and roles displayed on the MUZIUM website.

Information submitted directly through inquiry forms, job applications, or other forms is handled under the relevant consent notice and separate privacy guidance. This policy is limited to public-source profile and credit data.

2. Data We Process

MUZIUM processes only the public-source information needed to organize and browse voice actor data.

  • Voice actor names, professional names, and public profile links
  • Public affiliation data such as association, generation, agency, and freelance status
  • Public work data such as works, roles, years, media categories, and source links
  • Work-related profile fields available from public sources, such as birth year, gender, activity period, and public external links
  • Original source URLs and collection or update timestamps used to maintain the data

3. Sources and Collection

The data is collected and organized from publicly accessible webpages such as Wikipedia. MUZIUM does not collect this data from login-only pages, private communities, paid or closed databases, or private contact networks.

Some data may be collected by automated tools and then normalized, deduplicated, categorized, and linked. Because of this process, errors, outdated source material, or naming differences in the original source may appear in the service.

This data is processed within the scope of the purpose for which the data subject disclosed it, or for which it was made publicly available through sources such as Wikipedia, and for the purpose of providing voice actor information.

4. Purposes

MUZIUM provides this data so users can review public voice actor information that would otherwise be scattered across multiple sources.

  • Browsing voice actor profiles, affiliations, and works
  • Organizing public data by work, role, and media category
  • Providing reference information for users, including producers, who review voice actor casting candidates
  • Improving data quality, removing duplicates, and fixing incorrect links
  • Operating website search, lists, and category pages

5. Data We Do Not Publish

MUZIUM does not intentionally collect or publish information that may intrude on privacy or is unnecessary for the public-source information service.

  • Government identifiers, passport numbers, financial information, or similar unique identifiers
  • Private phone numbers, email addresses, home addresses, family details, or other private life information
  • Non-public legal names of people who work under a stage or professional name
  • Sensitive information such as health, beliefs, political opinions, religion, or criminal history
  • Speculative information that is not confirmed by a reliable public source
  • Private-life details that are not relevant to voice actor activity or public work data

6. Retention and Updates

Public-source voice actor data is retained and published while the purposes of providing voice actor information, search, lists, and category pages continue. If the source is removed, the data is confirmed to be inaccurate, or a valid correction, removal, or suspension request from the data subject or rights holder is completed, the relevant published data is corrected, hidden, or removed without undue delay.

Request history, including requester email, request details, and handling results, may be retained for three years from receipt to prevent duplicate disputes and confirm handling history.

Electronic information whose retention period has expired or whose purpose has been fulfilled is deleted so it cannot be restored or reproduced. Any paper output, if created, is shredded or otherwise destroyed.

7. Data Subject Rights and Correction/Removal Requests

A data subject, legal representative, agency, association, or other legitimate rights holder may request access, correction, removal, suspension of processing, or non-disclosure of public-source voice actor data.

Requests can be submitted to public@muzium.kr. Please include the target page URL, reason for the request, requested correction, and verifiable supporting material. MUZIUM may request minimal additional information when necessary to confirm authority to make the request.

After receiving a request, MUZIUM reviews public sources, submitted evidence, and service operation needs, then corrects, hides, or removes the data where it can be reasonably verified.

MUZIUM will notify the requester of the handling result or reason for delay within 30 business days after receiving the request.

8. Data Sales and Affiliation

MUZIUM does not sell the voice actor data itself or provide the data as an official representative of any voice actor, association, or agency.

Public pages may be exposed through search engines, browsers, social previews, or user sharing. The publication of this data does not mean that MUZIUM is affiliated with, guarantees, or officially recommends any listed voice actor, association, or agency.

9. Accuracy and Responsibility

MUZIUM operates source-checking and data-cleaning processes to improve accuracy, but information may differ from the latest actual status because of source errors, translation or notation differences, update delays, or automated classification errors.

For important decisions, please also confirm the original source or official information from the relevant person or agency.

10. Privacy Contact and Remedies

Requests for correction, removal, suspension of processing, and privacy-related inquiries about public-source voice actor data can be submitted through the following contact.

Privacy contact: KANG MINKYU / Email: public@muzium.kr

For consultation or remedies related to rights infringement, users may contact relevant Korean authorities such as the Personal Information Infringement Report Center (118) or the Personal Information Dispute Mediation Committee (1833-6972).

11. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when service operations, data sources, legal requirements, or internal standards change. Material changes will be reflected on this page by updating the effective date or relevant content.
